Competition rules
The competition consists of three rounds.
First Round - January 29
Duration: 15 minutes
Repertoire: Free choice
The First Round programme must include:

- at least one movement by a Viennese Classical composer, namely Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, or Ludwig van Beethoven;
- one virtuoso étude, for example by Chopin, Liszt, Scriabin, Debussy, or another composer of comparable style and technical level.
Semi-Final - January 30
Duration: 30 minutes
Repertoire: Free choice
Final - January 31
Duration: 40 minutes
Repertoire: Free choice
General Repertoire Rules

- Competitors may freely choose their repertoire for all rounds, subject to the requirements stated above.
- Works performed in one round may not be repeated in any other round.
- All performances must be played from memory.
- Although not mandatory, competitors are strongly encouraged to include at least one composition by a Croatian composer in either the Semi-Final or the Final. A list of suggested Croatian composers is available via Cantus.hr upon request by email.
Jury and Voting Regulations

- Members of the jury may not vote for a candidate with whom they have a family relationship, a close personal relationship, or who is or has been their student.
- Throughout the competition, jury members must refrain from any direct or indirect contact with the candidates.
- Jury members must not make any public statements regarding the candidates, jury deliberations, or the organization of the competition.
- If a participant’s performance does not comply with the competition requirements, the jury reserves the right to interrupt the performance and exclude the participant from further participation in the competition.
- The decisions of the jury are final and not subject to appeal.
Prizes:
- 1st place: 3000 EUR + Masterclass with the jury members* + Performance at the winners’ concert + AV recording
- 2nd place: 1500 EUR + Masterclass with the jury members* + Performance at the winners’ concert + AV recording
- 3rd place: 500 EUR + Masterclass with the jury members* + Performance at the winners’ concert + AV recording
- Special Prize: 200 EUR (for the best performance of a Croatian composition ) + Performance at the winners’ concert + AV recording
- Audience Award: 200 EUR
*Masterclass with a jury members will be held right after the competition in Split, Croatia.

Applications must be submitted exclusively online by completing the Google Form available at the following link:
- When completing the form, applicants are kindly requested to provide accurate and complete information in order for the application to be considered valid.
- The application fee must be paid at the time of submission. Proof of payment must be uploaded within the application form, in accordance with the instructions provided in the form itself.

The application fee is non-refundable in the event of a participant’s withdrawal, failure to attend, or submission of a late, incomplete, or unjustified application.

In the event that the competition is cancelled by the organizer, or if the competition cannot be held, the organizer shall refund the application fee or offer an alternative date. Any refund may be reduced only by actual administrative costs, provided that such costs have been clearly stated in advance and are legally applicable.
